Return to Previous Page Chef Daniel Parish Daniel was born and raised in Panama City Florida. He spent most of his youth fishing off the docks of the Passport Marina (since renamed the Lighthouse Marina), back when his dad used to run it. He loved spending time out on the docks fishing; he even lost a couple of reels out there in the Lagoon trying to reel in the big ones! His Dad and Step-Mom ran a bar called "Hurry Sundown" where the fishermen and locals used to gather late afternoon for a cold one. Hurry Sundown is long gone, but the Boatyard now stands in its place. Daniel trained under George "Papou" Dracos (Papous Hearth & Garden), Chefs Doug Shook (Louie's Backyard in Key West), Jeffrey Bracher, Aaron Hallmeyer and Culinary director Konrad Yochum. Daniel thinks it's kind of neat that he is now preparing & cooking fresh food at the place where his family once worked and where he hung out fishing as a young boy. Forums The perfect place to meet Yard Dogs and other locals, ask
questions, talk about the bands at Boatyard or just hang out. Come
on in! We're glad to have ya.
